Magnificently played by Noomi Rapace. The slow and insidious decent into uncertain madness was coldly realistic to anyone who has actually seen this happen. There was never a false moment in the portrayal.
The realism was heightened by Rapace's uncanny ability to express simultaneously the outer and inner turmoil of her character.
