Review of The Mother (2023) by Bobjone — 19 May 2023
It could have been better, the premise was there but yeah not the best not the worst. found it a bit boring at times, bit repetitive, felt like it was trying to be like Jason Bourne mixed with Hanna. it was very cliche but the cast was very good, acting was very good, cinematography was very good.
Just the underwritten kinda bad script/screenplay, Jennifer Lopez is a good actress and personally I think she is an underrated actress who deserves more credit, she has a lot of good films under her belt.
She really suits this genre of film, all she needs is a good script like her previous film 'Enough' but sadly hollywood now lacks good writers and directors. Every single one of the actors in this film done an amazing job its just the writers and directors that suck.
you could have the greatest actor/actress in the world on a film but if the script/screenplay and directing sucks its just not gonna be a good movie. all in all nice to see women over 50 in action films, need more of that.
