There are a few action scenes in the movie that are effective. In spite of those scenes the story is totally empty. Mummy 2 is all about the effects and the story is dumb. Imhotep is resurrected by Anuck Su Numan even though he died in the 1st.
The Rock added little as The Scorpion King as well, one of the worst sequels evee. The Mummy didn't need a sequel, the 1st movie was perfect.
