Review of The Mummy Returns (2001) by James M — 24 Apr 2010
A sequel which exists to steal your money at the cinema. If I'd watched this on the big screen I'd have demanded my money back. The storyline is practically the same as the first movie, except there's an obnoxious little brat as Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz son who gives Jar Jar Binks a run for his money as the most annoying sidekick of all time.
It's even more obvious that this movie was rushed into theatres to catch the school holidays by the lazy special effects, particularly at the end. Worth watching as an example of Hollywood's greed.
