Review of The Muppets (2011) by Greg R — 13 Jan 2019
Oddly enough, this movie was my true introduction to the Muppets. While I knew who the characters were when I was a kid, I never watched any of their shows or movies all the way through. So, it may seem odd that I saw The Muppets when I was about to start High School.
I don't remember how I saw this movie but I do remember after seeing it understanding why it was so beloved by many people. Its this wonderful blend of heart, cheesy gimmicks, and lovable charm that can likely put a smile on anyones faces.
I loved this movie with its charming characters, heartwarming moments, and surprisingly clever script. While I can spot a few nitpicks, the only major problem I have is how everything is so cleanly wrapped up in the End Credits when it seemed like the ending was taking a certain unique and inspiring turn.
However, one problem should not overcome all the great things this movie gives.
