Whether you're a fan of this genre or not, this deserves a viewing. It is well grounded in its steampunk/gothic/fantasy themes, and has some truly beautiful animation. The silhouette style is different, but not in a bad way, and the story is truly interesting, imaginative and thoughtful, with several moral undertones.
