There's a very disconcerting disconnect between the mercurial visuals and a leaden script. It is however, yet another brilliant adventure in cinematic style. Unsettling, creepy and even vaguely distasteful the scenario rolls out beautifully until the final twenty minutes when the melodrama demon strikes and the whole exercise in poise and cool rattles off the rails in a most awkward manner.
