Review of The Northman (2022) by Benjanzen — 13 May 2022
The Northman is a brutal and gritty Viking tale, the likes of which we’ve never seen before. And though I was impressed by its spectacle and craftsmanship, I feel it lacked any heart or emotional depth.
I didn’t find myself invested in these characters nor this story; I didn’t FEEL anything. At the end of the day, while it’s a film that I can appreciate, it just wasn’t for me.
