Review of The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018) by Smith T — 13 Nov 2018
Better than what I thought it was going to be, "The Nutcracker and the four realms", offers up a nice fantasy adventure story the young and the old. Yes, it has its problems. For starters, the acting and dialogue is clunky, the costume design isn't as good as I come to expect from Disney and every scene looks like it's filmed in the same exact studio.
It also seems like they combined Narnia 1, the Alice and Wonderland remakes and Santa Clause 2 into one film. Which at sometimes is good but not so good at other times. And finally my last negative point, the overuse of CGI.
I got to be truthful, at some moments it felt like I was watching the Jim Carrey's A Christmas Carol. But with all that said, I thought it some really good scenes and very interesting story. Also, I like fantasy films, so yeah, this one was pretty good.
