Review of The Ones Below (2016) by Py C — 29 May 2016

Wow what a cheery little tale this one is. The Brits sure know how to do 'bleak'. Very creepy and disturbing psychological thriller perhaps slightly reminiscent of the 1944 film Gaslight.

I think towards the end the rehashing and explanation of the events that occurred was unnecessary and kind of an insult to the audiences intelligence as if we are too stupid to figure it out for ourselves. This could have been a much better film if it was left up to us to make our own interpretations ie whether we thought she was going a bit insane with post natal depression or whether the ones below were really psychos. Overall I really liked this film and recommend watching alone in a darkened room.
