Review of The Outsiders (1983) by D Z — 22 Jan 2017
I loved this movie when I was 7-9, when it was first released, and loved it. Then about 33 years passed, and I re-watched it, and I couldn't stop laughing at how badly it was directed, and how over-acted nearly each line was.
If I was Tom Cruise, I'd hope no one ever stumbled onto this movie; truly embarrassing performance. Dillon, Swayze and Lowe were great... for an 80s movie, early in their careers. Anyway, I certainly don't see it as the iconic movie I'd remembered from when I was a child, but I'm glad I re-watched it, if only so I can see what garbage it really was.
