Review of The Paper (1994) by Iain S — 17 Jan 2009
A very enjoyable ensemble comedy with a smart script and some zinging one-liners. Ron Howard directs in his usual obvious manner - everything is over-lit which draws attention to the fact that the actors are on a studio set.
This is probably a hangover from learning his trade on TV's 'Happy Days', however he does wring excellent performances from Michael Keaton, Glenn Close, Robert Duvall et al.
