Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Andrew C. D — 17 Jun 2016
Displayed in the open for the audience is not just Charlie Brown's now sixty year long battle for his own soul, but a battle between passionate creators versus some of the most brain dead executives in the business.
And most of the time, the creators win. The best example is the response to being saddled by the studio with a crappy generic pop song, which now has become requisite to acquiring funding for a non-Pixar animated film.
It's obvious that the creators are conceding to it, but they don't have to like it, and make every possible effort to make it as unheard as possible.
