Review of The Phantom Wagon (1939) by Adam C — 02 Jun 2012
Wow. Wow. Wow. Not only the best silent I've ever seen, but one of the best, period. Spooky, elegiac, and endlessly watchable. Dickensian in in nature, but positively Scandinavian in delivery. Expertly edited and plotted and emotionally rewarding, especially for 1921.
Will watch again very soon.
