The concept of the Platform is a straight up genius idea. It’s chilling, creative and dark. And the movie does everything you’d hope for. Shocking gore paired with grim social commentary and great performances by Zorion Eguileor and Alexandra Masangkay make this a great horror film.
It has a somewhat anticlimactic ending that may not appeal to everyone, and the film is in Spanish, but if you can look past that there is some great direction and brilliant symbolism. It does feel a little short, and I feel like there’s more this story has to offer, but it is a great watch nonetheless.
