Review of The Possession of Michael King (2014) by Tony B — 01 Sep 2014

This was a good movie. It was exciting from the beginning to the end, with lots of very scary and startling moments. The actor had great scary monster faces and the overall setting and feeling was creepy and effective, especially for those cheap scare moments like loud noises with bright imagery, which were pulled off flawlessly and placed at the perfect times.

The movie wasn't multi-layered, where the story was pretty straight and forward, but it constantly moved along and was entertaining the whole time. Although the story was not deep, the straight-forward plot with the scattered but consistently delivered back-story was strong enough to be a solid back-bone to such terrifying frights found in this film.

All in all, it was one of the scariest I've seen and kept me watching. Definitely a good watch for horror movie fans -IMHO.
