Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Tony B — 09 May 2015
The quick and the dead is in my oppinion a satire on a Western. The plot is weak and it´s too much gunfights in this movie. And that comes from a guy that loves action and gunfights. The good thing in this movie is that the main characters are spectacular in this film. Gene Hackman is portraying a realy good antagonist, Russel Crowe the priest seeking redemtion, Decaprio just want´s to be noticed and of cource a strong female lead be Sharon Stone. But her main goal is forgot since it's glanced over so often that you only want to follow the here and now story. I wanted to see more of her relationship with Crowe and the Kid.
I still recommend this movie if you want a mindless shooter with some cool duels and good acting.
