Review of The Ritual (2017) by Robert S — 15 Feb 2018
I really enjoyed the build and the atmosphere in the first half. The characters had good development (with the exception of the underdeveloped Paul) that made me care about them when things started going south.
The movie slowed down a bit in the second half and had some turns I could have done without but some of the visual reveals at the end are great! Some great design! This is one of the better "scary woods" entries and I'm happy not to see another demon possession or haunting horror movie.
