Review of The Ritual (2017) by George R — 12 Feb 2018
Like others have already mentioned, the story and script aren't really new. But unlike the Blair Witch Project people are comparing it to, The Ritual is actually a decent movie (Blair was absolute garbage from beginning to end).
While it ends in a typical and unsatisfying manner, the trip with the characters takes us into a Swedish land of trip and twisted outcomes, and one of the most originally amazing creature designs I've seen in a horror film. It's not the best horror movie, but it's definitely worth the watch.
