There comes a time, when I saw movie trailer on Youtube and tell myself 'this looks good' then after the movie released, majority hates it but I ended up liking it. The Romantics is one of those movie, I don't know what's bad about this one. For non romantic fan, don't even bother to watch this - you'll get bored, but for drama fans, this was different. I find many hidden meaning from several scenes, many symbolism too. The dialogues were all witty and carefully written, and great soundtrack too! The Romantics tell the story of romance, love that we all feel, we all experienced. What is romance exactly? Are we attracted to the person who we shares similar interest or opposite characters? It's layers after layers presented well in the movie. I always loved Katie Holmes, so no need praising here. Paquin, Duhamel, Brody, Akerman and Lawrence gives equally good performances.
