Review of The Rugrats Movie (1998) by Kevin R — 02 Nov 2015
In my day we had plenty of fun just throwing rocks at each other.
The Rugrats are growing up and need to learn responsibility. It quickly starts when Tommy has a new baby brother named Dil. He is forced to take care and watch him when the Rugrats get lost in the woods. Tommy will need to protect his brother and keep him safe until the Rugrats can find their way home.
"So maybe real fire isn't the best idea for a children's toy.".
Igor Kovalyov (Duckman and Rugrats) and Norton Virgien (Duckman, Rugrats, and Doc McStuffins) collaborate to deliver Rugrats: The Movie. The storyline for this picture is just okay but in-line with the television series and similar quality plot and animation quality.
"We thought the fun times would last forever but we were wrong.".
I was in college when Rugrats were big so I never really got into them. I saw this movie on Netflix and decided to give it a shot with my daughter. She liked it and watched it all the way through. She was definitely giggling and found the film fun. I wouldn't say this was a classic but it's worth a viewing.
Grade: C+.
