Review of The Sentinel (1977) by Filmgrinder S — 02 Jan 2012
Someone sold the lofty goal of riding the Omen/Exorcist satan wave to a Hollywood studio. They put a huge chunk of cash together to get a strong cast. And then spent more money on a huge bag of coke and turned out a horrible piece of shit.
Christina Raines is very beautiful, I just wish she could act. But even the old-timey Oscar winners couldn't save a movie about the gate to Hell being locked away in a Brooklyn apartment building. Location scout: Genius. Casting: A saint. Script writer: Douche.
