Review of The Shape of Things (2003) by Matt T — 09 Feb 2014
This movie starts out slow at first, and the first time I watched it, I admittedly did not give it much of a chance. Finally, I watched it in its entirety and was not disappointed. The characters, Evelyn and Adam, are seemingly a blossoming couple at first; but Evelyn has ulterior motives, and she slowly but surely "shapes" Adam into what he will eventually become.
The ending shocked me, and that's what I like the most about this film: its ability to surprise, and also its proficiency in lending insight into the question of morality, and the true nature of humanity at its lowest.
A very clever film worth watching.
