The Shining is an absolute masterpiece of a movie. It is not only one of the greatest horror movies ever made, but one of the greatest movies from any genre. The cinematography is stunning. The setting is both grand and inviting yet claustrophobic and oppressive.
Jack Nicholson gives the best performance of his whole career. If you haven't seen this movie yet, go watch it ASAP.
