Review of The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015) by Grant T — 14 Nov 2017
This movie had me roped in for EVERY SECOND. The performances were as good as you'll ever see and the setting was incredible. Definitely a downer, but so effective to look at psychological traits of the human condition.
I will just say that I fully support being tough on prisoners and letting them know who's boss...because it's prison. They do not deserve to be treated in a manner that reflects that they did nothing wrong.
That being said, it was interesting seeing how gaining power takes a sadistic turn, which could be taken in any sense and not just a prison. An extremely effective film that should not be overlooked.
