Stanford Prison Experiment is a thriller itself no doubt. Based on the true event, the experiment faced its ethical problem. To put that aside for now, the experiment did provide perspectives on institutionalization, individuality, subjects' obedience, etc.
No one could completely be an outsider from the experiment, not even the observers. You wear the mask for so long that you even forget you are underneath. Acting is strong in this one.
