It might have been better on stage but a 90 minute dialog without a change of scenery is tough to take on the big screen (HBO). The intellectual challenge is to find your own metaphorical interpretation.
Is he already dead? If so, just spiritually or really dead? But the script is too repetitious. Took a map in the middle and didn't miss a thing.
