Review of The Sword of Doom (1966) by James J — 07 Aug 2010
Not quite Akira Kurosawa, but the inspiration is definitely there. This is basically the story of a crazed badass killing machine who descends deeper and deeper into darkness. The visuals and images are great.
The mental degradation is really cool, and once he hits rock bottom, the film gets better. This actually may have one of the most excellent endings of all time. Tight!
