Review of The Tale of Despereaux (2008) by Freedomfighters — 14 Nov 2016

Let's get this out of the way first and foremost: "The Tale of Despereaux" is not another "WALL-E" or "Kung Fu Panda." It's not revolutionary filmmaking or anything like that, and it won't be an awards contender.

That said, it's still a relatively entertaining flick. Not the most well-written film, "The Tale of Despereaux" still benefits from some solid visuals, decent action scenes and good performances from its great cast.

You might not want to walk in with super high expectations or anything like that, but if you keep your expectations tempered, you might end up finding something to enjoy in this decent animated adventure.
