Review of The Terminator (1984) by David M — 10 Jul 2015
Part sci-fi, part horror, all iconic. The Terminator is pop culture incarnate. The one liners, the characters, the characters, everything. Needless to say, this is one of the best sci-fi films out there.
The simple plot of a murderous cyborg sent back from the future to kill the mother of the leader of the human resistance is a simple one. And in a lot of ways, the film leans more towards the horror aspects of the unstoppable killer.
But the spurts of sci-fi storytelling married with memorable characters and (for the time) great effects, make this a must have for any cinema fan.
