Inspiring an appreciation for all the things around us.

James Marsh's The Theory of Everything (2014) is a remarkable biopic on the life of Stephen Hawking. It brings romance to life with vibrant blues and greens next to cinematographer Benoit Delhomme's stunning cinematography. Many images from The Theory of Everything have stuck with me. The positive outlook of Hawking's and his willful perseverance should reinvigorate any audience.

James Marsh's direction is truly gorgeous as the bright vivid colors choices, beautiful costumes, long steady shots, emotional close ups, and creative editing make The Theory of Everything one of my favorite biopics. This movie looks so bright and cleanly shot that it is a testament to great filmmaking for such an inspiring story. Marsh captures the necessary parts of Hawking's incredible life, never afraid to mention the saddest or most harrowing aspects to Professor Hawking's condition. Marsh will hold on Hawking unable to climb stairs or staring at a fire that convey a dismal situation with a respectful understanding.

Additionally, Marsh's subtle use of visual storytelling is impressive as many scenes do not even need conversation, but reveal much of the characters' feelings through their eyes, faces, and body language. Marsh is an excellent director as The Theory of Everything is a wonderful film!

Eddie Redmayne is simply phenomenal as Stephen Hawking. He recreates Hawking's spontaneous youth to his restricted infliction. Redmayne delivered his greatest acting performance as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. His accent, slurs, hindered steps, slight eye and mouth movements, and careful eye expressiveness all convene into a thoroughly convincing portrayal of the legendary theoretical physicist. Redmayne adds a likable charisma and serious thoughtfulness to the role. He is truly astonishing as Stephen Hawking.

Likewise, Felicity Jones gives her best performance as an actress to date in The Theory of Everything as Jane Wilde. Her radiant personality matches her peerless wit in order to depict a believable empathy. Jones is enchanting with her lovely appearance and sympathetic face. She effectively utilizes her eyes and face to reveal a deep sadness and unhappiness in her character. She enthralls you with her kindness, patience, selflessness, and sorrow. Jones beguiles the viewer with a passionate plea for the joys of life. Felicity Jones is just dazzling like the stars in The Theory of Everything.

I must mention besides the riveting direction, fascinating edits, captivating performances, and gripping narrative, The Theory of Everything enamored me with its brilliant score. The classical styling from composer Johann Johannsson is astounding. His rising crescendos and sweeping symphony brings delight and magic to The Theory of Everything. His score echoes the methodical scientific sequences alongside the mesmerizing romance passages. I simply adore Johannsson's score to The Theory of Everything!

In all, The Theory of Everything is a beautiful romance film that doubles as a shocking biopic. I believe that this film will give you hope and a better appreciation of your own life.
