Entertaining? Yes. Silly? You betcha! (the "Thing" in this one is a super carrot . It resembles a shambling, angry Frankenstein's Monster. Also, everyone keeps going on about how it's got superior intelligence but we are never given proof of this.
) Dated? Definitely. It's a good film, but it can't hold a candle to Carpenter's far superior remake. I would recommend it because it is a classic sci-fi film.
