Review of The Thing from Another World (1951) by David S — 14 Mar 2012
Although the 1951 The Thing has a high reputation in being a classic, it is hard in today's scrutinizing society to not overlook the major faults within the film. Yes, the acting, the storyline and the dialogue hold up perfectly well, making it a worthwhile science fiction film.
It does however ignore and show some shortfalls that could easily be fixed. None-the-less, it was an educational experience.
