Review of The Tourist (2010) by Jacomalan — 17 Jul 2022
Even though this movie doesn't "tick most of the boxes" so to speak, it does provide an enjoyable viewing experience.
The actors portrayed their roles brilliantly. From a cinematography point-of-view, the film is lacking in some aspects we have all come to know and enjoy, like huge fireballs and special effects. Though, it must be said, it doesn't need those things. I'd describe this movie as a romantic comedy disguised as a thriller.
All in all, I really enjoyed watching this film. I think it is underrated. Yes, it does some major things wrong from an academic point of view, but it's still a great story and an absolute pleasure to watch.
I would recommend this film to anyone who just wants to crack open a bag of popcorn, sit back, and relax with the family to enjoy a movie everyone can watch.
