Review of The Toxic Avenger Part II (1989) by Dc F — 09 Feb 2011
Mildly entertaining. They changed Melvin's last name, and the name of his girlfriend for reasons only the sloppy creators can explain and the genius sounding voice Toxie had in Part 1 has now been replaced with someone who sounds like Ralph Malph.
The violence has been toned way down and the pacing is shit. PART 3 is basically just a continuation of PART 2 so they are truly one long movie so they get the same criticism and grade. Its no wonder that when PART 4 came out, Lloyd Kaufman apologizes for parts 2 and 3.
At least in part 4 the gore, the nudity and the VOICE are back.
