More style than emotion in a production that was much more an exercise in filming dark sets than in generating any of the traditional tragic emotions of pity and terror. Sound and fury signifying not very much.
Not boring, but not particularly exciting either. Not the worst production I've seen, but far from the best. Grim is probably the best description.
