Review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) by Jesse M — 08 Aug 2018
After watching the second installment of the Twilight saga several times and still having no knowledge of the books: Here we go!
Film number 2 fails to keep the viewers attention due to lack luster delivery.
The romance has not developed any and is still with out emotion from either Edward or Bella. Jacob seems to be the fresh face in the romance department but fails to get past Bella's overly depressing performance. I have to admit my attention was peaked when the Volturi came around! Would have been really nice had the film focused on their history instead of the painfully depressing duo and the odd man out! I'm not crazy about the self destructive behavior of Bella and it really did nothing to help this story. Once again Edward was a bore lacking any type of charisma! Jacobs pack history wasn't enough to peak my interest in him other that his constant whining about his lack of a chance with Bella. Supporting cast once again saves the film from certain death. Sadly the music failed to deliver as in the first movie. I will also note that the threat of Victoria was in no way climactic in this film.
Once again ratings would have been higher had their been more back story and passion.
This one gets 2 stars with no chance for a re watch on a boring rainy day.
