Review of The Wailing (2016) by Simon C — 15 Nov 2018
The wailing is a movie cooked around an original plot, blending suspense with paranormal, but maybe sometime too garnish from useless informations. The movie start as a really intriguing police flick, and end up being one of the most effective horror story I've saw since a while.
But between that, there was a lot of scene that added nothing new to the intrigue and was circling around the same action. At least, director Hong-ji Na was really good at making those scenes thrilling and atmospheric.
