A generic cat and mouse game of cop vs. serial killer you've seen before only this time with some odd scenes of slow motion and misplaced music that makes this movie feel dated, where James Spader is interesting and nuanced simply because the role is played by James Spader, Keanu Reeves is interesting cast against type but has no character to speak of whatsoever and Marisa Tomei is completely wasted in a nothing role.
