Review of The Way Back (2010) by Chiek E — 23 May 2015
Escaping from Gulag in Siberia in the middle of winter and walked for thousands of miles through the Gobi desert and scale the Himalayas to get to India takes courage, fool hardiness and superhuman physical endurance.
But more importantly it was kindness, generosity, self sacrifice that saw 3 of the 7 to reach India eventually. Beautiful film by Peter Weir, amazing cast and an insanely true story of human triumph against the harshest odds to survive.
