Review of The Way Way Back (2013) by Niki G — 10 Feb 2014
It has a great cast, But The Way Way Back is bogged down by it's uninspired screenplay and the fact it can't shake the whole been there done that feeling. Plus the film tries to be cute and fuzzy but it comes off more annoying and stupid.
Plus the films makes it out the main character (Duncan) is a saint and most of the people around him are dicks. Which is fine to do, though the film does it in a way that feels un-natural.
