Review of The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014) by Tom L — 11 Jan 2015
This movie is brilliant! Way better than the first one. The setup in the WWII period is gloomy and somber. The portrayal of how the English dealt with the incessant bombardments is very historically accurate.
The intensity build-up is captivating the whole time. We see the house has become so old and decrepit. It makes you feel distressed and pessimistic for those people. You keep wondering if they were better staying in London under the bombs.
The whole time you feel like your life has been sucked out of you being in this putrid land. Mission accomplished!
