Review of Think Like a Man Too (2014) by Brandon W — 17 Sep 2014
When I heard that there's going to be a sequel for Think Like a Man, I thought that it was unnecessary to make. But it did had the same writers as the first one which I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
But when I saw it, not only was it really unnecessary, but it was awful. It's got the same cast which is good, but it doesn't have the same funny stuff. The jokes were either lacking, or it did show but just felt really flat.
The plot is really cliché and I knew how it's going to end. Even if there was some stuff that was unpredictable, it was really far fetched and makes no sense. Kevin Hart is not that funny surprisingly and just kept yelling.
There was few funny moments, even from Kevin Hart, but it's just not that funny. There was a music video that makes no sense and has nothing to do with the plot at all. There was a problem that wasn't resolved.
Maybe it did, but was vague for no reason. The thing is with the movie, is that it's more farther away from the book which the first was based on, and I felt like I was watching a different movie and didn't see Steve Harvey at all until the end.
Not only that, but I barely saw the romance in this like the first one which I don't even know why. The only thing I like, besides a few funny moments, is Dennis Haysbert. He's great in this and it would've been nice to see more of him.
But no, we had to see more of the shenanigans the main people were doing. I actually would've give Think Like a Man Too a half star if Dennis Haysbert wasn't in this as he is the best part. But giving it a star is probably too nice for me to give as it is so awful that I was getting really mad at it and wanted to eject the disc so bad.
Don't see this, go see the first one.
