Review of Three Days in August (2016) by Mike E — 08 Nov 2016
Moving & funny, a viscerally & palpably real depiction of a blended family gathering of three generations to paint a family portrait, while family tensions & personal agendas navigate below the surface.
The subtext is about adoption, but if you're alive & come from a family of any sort, and ever had a family gathering, you'll recognize every character & feel for each one & for all of them.
The feel of the film remains with you.
