Review of Time Out of Mind (2014) by Catherine D — 16 Oct 2018
A long film but more than worth watching. Geer is brilliant. This is not a typical Hollywood plotline where there's an arc of development and the hero comes good in the end. The main protagonist does have some realizations and there is some hope at the end but really, it's a slice of life of homeless people.
Their days are mundane, frustrating, tedious, lonely, harsh, tragic. That's reality and this film portrays the life of a whole sector of the population the rest of us tent to overlook.
