Review of Tinker Bell (2008) by Private U — 29 Oct 2008
Being a huge PETER PAN and Tinker Bell fan, I was more than dreading the release of this film. It was originally supposed to be released a year earlier, but Disney rejected the film, saying it wasn't good enough.
So, I had a year to dread it. When it finally came out and I bought and watched it, I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually very entertaining, enchanting, and genuinely funny. I laughed out loud at numerous parts and smiled at the ending.
There is absolutely nothing objectionable in it for children of any age, and that was very refreshing in this day and age when even the "G"-est of G ratings contains some sort of potty humour or sexual reference.
TINKER BELL is just good clean fun for the child in all of us. The film focuses on Tink's birth as a fairy and her trying to come to terms with her talent.
