Review of Tomb Raider (2018) by Derek E — 14 Jul 2018
Everything I expected it to be. In terms of video game adaptation it was great, ticked off all the boxes, used all the correct tropes and nodded just the right amount of times toward the viewer.
The only downside is the save the world story, which luckily got nicely nerfed towards the end (which was refreshing).
A promising (if not revolutionary) origin story, by far the best Tomb Raider out there!
