Review of Tomorrowland (2015) by Mark B — 21 Dec 2018
Wow. How bad can you get? This will be a candidate for the Mystery Science Theater of the future. Gets off to a nice start, but quickly bogs down, eventually turning tendentiously preachy and unbelievably boring.
Clooney and Laurie turned in completely unbelievable characters - but that could have been the script. Robertson was mostly better, but again the script sometimes left her high and dry. Raffey Cassidy was a high point in the film, but in part because of her looks: all the classic sexuality of Audrey Hepburn, with a touch of Lauren Bacall thrown in.
And that made me feel a bit perverted - after all - she was a child at the time.
