Review of Topkapi (1964) by M E — 07 Feb 2009
SEE THIS NOW. Really, it makes every other heist movie look like it's not even trying. Rififi may be slightly better-regarded, and it may have come first, but I'd like you to go through this movie and count all the pieces that were ripped off by other, inferior efforts.
The payoff is more than worth the two hours it takes to get there, and if you can't make it through a 1960s-paced movie, then take some damn ritalin and sit your ass down.
