Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Sam P — 14 Feb 2015
The art of storytelling with sound, camera and performance of the actors...timing, editing and great use of everything by Welles in this masterpiece...for example how he used sound in this film shows Welles was an smart filmmaker who knew what he's doing.
..Fun facts...Hitchcock kind of copied him in Pyscho and made Welles angry ...Another thing is when the studio took over his film, Welles was able to watched it once and he wrote notes about how he wanted to film be like in editing and after 50 years Walter Murch re-edit the film based on his notes and he was surprised that all his notes worked perfectly to server the story and the film.
I am sure Welles is in peace now.
